Las Vegas Wedding Story
Seattle to Vegas

Summary: Booking a wedding from Seattle in Las Vegas. Who would have thought it would turn out to be so wonderful?
Content: I just had my wedding at Mon Bel Ami this past weekend. I was not disappointed at all. Living in Seattle and planning a wedding in Vegas is hard when you don’t know what the location really looks like. I looked at hotels, too expensive. I had called one other chapel before I decided on Mon Bel Ami. I picked the package I wanted and what to be added.
I called and spoke with Danielle to reserve the chaple that Friday. Danielle was so helpful. I explained to her what I wanted and that I had 3 children I’d like to be involved. Within a matter of less than ½ hour I had booked the chapel and all my additions to the ceremony in tact.
Danielle called suggested I get my marriage license when I came into town on Thursday, make an appointment with Rose Eren Bridal for our attire, make an appointment with Glamsquad for hair and make up, then went over additional costs/tips for the minister, limo and photographer.
As soon as we got to Vegas we went to the courthouse to get our marriage license. Very easy process. Just make sure to have $55 cash and fill out the forms ahead of time if you can.
Friday was our wedding day. We had appointments at Rose Eren’s Bridal at noon. With 3 kids we were running late & got there at 12:30. The owner was pleasant to work with. She got my family suited up & altered as needed within an hour. We literaly were out the door at 1:30. There were a few gowns my size to choose from, not the huge selection I thought there would be. I would only recommend that you buy/bring your own strapless bra. I had to pay some $$ for mine there. There isn’t a wide varity of attire for the girls, but we found 2 similar dresses. If you want your kids to wear shoes I suggest that you purchase them ahead of time. My 3 year old wore his Vans with his tux (which I adored and was fine wish). My girls walked down the aisle barefoot (which again was fine by me & they loved). **All rentals were due the next day between 10 am and noon. We paid an extra $25 to have them come pick up our attire from the Bell Hop Desk at our hotel. WELL worth it. It costs about the same for the taxi ride to the bridal shop & back.
I called Mon Bel Ami around 3 p.m. to make sure that we were on for that night and if there was anything that needed to be taken care of. I also wanted to make sure I could change there at the chapel. Everything was on track & good to go.
James from Glamsquad came a little after 5 p.m. Our appointment was at 5, but he was late due to the traffic on the strip. My girls told him how they wanted their hair and James went with it. He had both their hairdo’s done within 30 min or so. They looked great. Next was me. I told him I wanted my hair up & showed him the tierra I wanted to wear. Then that I had a veil that I wasn’t sure about. James did a great job with my hair and said the veil would be a great addition. I’m glad I did now looking back.
James also did my make up. I thought I was going to get the airbrush but he went with regular MAC make up. He did such a great job. It was a bit more than I usually wear, but so worth it after looking at the wedding pictures. Total price for my hair & make up & the girls $145 + tip.
The limo came to pick us up at our hotel promptly at 7:45. The driver had a sign that said our last name, so there was no need to do any kind of hunting. He gave us the option of going down the strip, but the traffic was bad. We were at the chapel in more than enough time.
Once we got in the chapel I was lead to the changing room in the back. My bouquette was there along with the girls. It was absolutely gorgeous. I changed with the help of my best friend. Later the girls left the room to be instructed what they were to do. In less than 10 minutes we were “on”. The ceremony was perfect. The only attendant was my best friend. Which was just enough, since the ceremony was truly about us.
Afterwards we took pictures inside and outside with their photographer. We decided to buy all the pictures. We were also given a DVD of our wedding. Only bad thing is that it doesn’t work and we need to send it back to chapel.
Then we took our limo back to the hotel where we enjoyed feeding each other cake & then sharing with the kiddos.
I loved our wedding at Mon Bel Ami. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
