Las Vegas Wedding Story
Nightmare at the Little White Wedding Chapel
Date: 03/21/06
User: Anne
Summary: What a disaster! I made reservations for my wedding over two months in advance. Despite this, my wedding party was forced to wait at the Little White Wedding Chapel for over an hour (with toddlers). Our wedding tape was less than satisfactoy and in my opinion, I was grossly over charged.
Content: I was married at the Little White Wedding Chapel last May. I have nothing good to say about the experience. We made a 7:00pm chapel reservation on March 8th. The chapel’s limo got us to the chapel at 7:10 (not his fault, license took longer than expected). By the time we finished all of the paperwork and made payment it was 7:25pm. There were two other couples that arrived before us who were also waiting to get married. We then found out that we were all waiting for the minister to show up! You would think that because I made a reservation so far in advance, the chapel would have a minister there on time. It was around 7:50 when the minister finally arrived. At this point, the chapel staff told us it was first come first served. So we then had to wait for the other two couples to get married. We had a 2 year old and a 4 year old at the chapel and they were getting quite tired and antsy. We finally started our ceremony at 8:20pm!! This was a further inconvenience because we had lots of family and friends logged onto the internet since 7pm who were waiting for our wedding to start.
To make matters worse, the tape of our wedding that we purchased doesn't show our flower girl coming down the aisle and it doesn't show us leaving the chapel. The tape abruptly cuts off after we say something to our friends and family on the internet. For what we paid you think they could have taped us leaving the chapel!
Next, the “professional” photographer was rushing us because there were several other couples waiting to get married by that time. Who knows what time any of those couples had booked for their ceremony.
Finally, we were ready to leave and our limo was out picking up another couple. My husband had to go and basically demand a limo to get us back to the hotel because our entire wedding party already left for the restaurant.
All in all, I think they have quite a scam going on. They get your money and know you are now at their mercy. For over $400 for the 'deluxe' package and internet service I feel I was overcharged by about $300! Can you tell I'm just a tad disappointed?
