Las Vegas Wedding Story The Tunnel of Love- Our Dream Drive-Thru Wedding Date: 03/21/06 User: Nancy Summary: After hours of looking, the Little White Wedding Chapel's Tunnel of Love Drive-Thru was the way to go. Our drive-thru wedding in our red Porsche was the perfect wedding ceremony. Content: Mark and I got married in the Little White Wedding Chapel’s Tunnel of Love drive-thru. It was close to midnight and after getting lost and making many stops at chapels that either were not open or that we deemed unsuitable, we finally gave up. We decided to go to dinner at the Stratosphere's Top of the World Restaurant and then begin our search again. To make a long story short, after our beautiful dinner, we drove about seven blocks down Las Vegas Boulevard, “the Strip” and spotted the Little White Chapel's "Tunnel of Love" drive-thru. We drove got married in our rented red Porsche. We did not wear traditional wedding attire, but we were dressed nicely. Also, I wrapped white satin ribbons and placed white silk roses in our car. This was both Mark and I’s first marriage and I was afraid that the drive-thru would cheapen the wedding experience, but it was just the opposite. As I sat next to the love of my life and soon to be husband, I felt more strongly about Mark than I ever have. I had wanted a quiet and intimate wedding, and believe me it doesn't get any more intimate than being married in your car! The words that the minister spoke fit us to a "tee" and really touched our hearts. From the very beginning of our relationship, we were sure that we were meant for each other. Our Little White Chapel wedding was our dream wedding and I will never forget that night!!! And by the way, we never felt any pressure to give an exorbitant tip to the minister... Only what we wanted to give. Everyone treated us with great respect and consideration for the importance of the occasion. |
