Las Vegas Wedding Story
Wedding Bells Chapel & Stained Glass Chapel
Date: 02/19/07
User: Jwyatt
Summary: Was to be married at Wedding Bells but somehow ceremony took place at Stained Glass.
Content: Had booked the outdoor gazebo wedding for 1/12/07 at Wedding Bells Chapel (gazebo is located at Alexis Park Hotel). 2 hours before wedding, recvd vmail from photographer that wedding location changed & I was to go to 901 E Ogden Street. No other explaination!! So after making several phone calls myself I got to the bottom line. Since it was 20 degrees in Vegas that night, the pool pipes burst at the Alexis Park so the Stained Glass Chapel was going to provide my ceremony location. I thought Wedding Bells Chapel could have done a much better job of letting me know WHY my location changed. In addition, the photographer never showed up at Stained Glass Chapel. Very unorganized company to deal with.
So here's my review of the Stained Glass chapel since that is really where I ended up getting married. We had to get married inside due to the cold weather and I had already hired my own NV minister to perform the ceremony because I had heard from other brides that they didn't like the officiant that Wedding Bells Chapel uses.
In the end, I fould out that the officant Wedding Bells often uses is the owner of Stained Glass Chapel, Sherrie Klute. She was nice but I'm glad I hired my own minister. Since my photographer never showed up, Rev Sherrie took all my pictures. She was very nice and took 36 instead of 12 pictures that my package paid for. The inside chapel at Stained Glass is MUCH prettier than they shows. Trust me -the stained glass really is pretty. It was just him and I, so it suited our needs perfectly. The video offered is so so. It's positioned above the grooms head high on the wall, so you really only get to see the back of the grooms head and the brides face. If you do a unity ceremony like we did, the video won't capture it. The actual pictures were pretty good - they are digital and you do receive a digital disk which you can make as many pictures as you want once you get back home.
