Why is the outdoor area of a wedding chapel important?
The outdoor area of any Las Vegas wedding chapel is important not only for the ambiance that it creates around the chapel, but because it is the main location where wedding photos will be taken. The actual wedding ceremonies that take place inside of the wedding chapels last only 15-30 minutes, depending on the chapel. Therefore, the majority of your home made wedding photos (photos taken by family and friends) will be taken outside of the chapel. When a chapel has beautiful landscaping, it makes for a nice background for your wedding photos.

What should I know about the wedding chapel’s limo service?
There are three things you should ask about the limo service. First, ask the chapel whether its complimentary limo will take you to the marriage license bureau to obtain your marriage license. When I began planning my Las Vegas wedding, I incorrectly assumed that all chapels provide limo service to the marriage license bureau. Second, ask the chapel whether the complimentary limo service will take you to a location other than where you were picked up from. Many limo services will only take you to the same location that you were picked up at. For example, if the limo picks you up from your hotel room the limo will only drop you off at your hotel. However, after your wedding you most likely want to go to some sort of reception or out to dinner. Plan ahead if this is going to be a problem.

What additional “Fees”, “Tips”, or “Expenses” should I expect?
Las Vegas is a town that depends on tips. Many of the Las Vegas employees depend on tips to pay their bills because many Las Vegas employers pay their employees a very low wage assuming that the employee will receive tips from patrons and tourist. In short, expect to tip! Many chapels will have a stated price that does not include the “tip”. Although, in typical situations, the amount of a tip is discretionary, in the Las Vegas wedding chapel business tips are mandatory. Chapels will usually “suggest”’ a tip in the amount of $50, but I have heard of “suggested” tips of $100 or more. Pleases do not be fooled by the term “suggested”. In Las Vegas, suggested = mandatory. As long as you find out ahead of time what amount you are expected to tip and to whom, you won’t be upset when you are asked for the tips on your wedding day.

If you have any additional questions please submit them to info@aboutvegaswedding.com and I will do my best to answer all of the questions that I can.
