The Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel specializes in themed weddings offering 22 different fantasies for your matrimonial pleasure. Anything from an Egyptian themed wedding fit for Queen Cleopatra herself to a beach party themed wedding this place has it all. Traditional weddings are also preformed. Despite the quirky name, Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel is one of the prettier independent wedding chapels in town. The Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel provides both indoor and outdoor ceremony location options. Viva Las Vegas’ outdoor wedding chapel is surprisingly cute and serene. The outdoor chapel consists of a gazebo, park-like lights, and traditional park benches. The Viva Las Vegas’ gazebo can accommodate up to 30 wedding guests. The gazebo is surrounded by greenery and lit by white Christmas lights. In fact, the area is so pretty it made me forget that it was located adjacent to the parking lot of the building. I visited the site during the day, but I believe the gazebo would be even more beautiful all lit up at night. The indoor wedding chapel at Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel is also quite lovely. The main chapel is the largest I have seen featuring 22 foot high ceilings. In fact, when I visited in December 2005, there was a 16 foot tall Christmas tree decorating the middle of the wedding chapel. A cherub embellished water fountain sits at the head of the chapel and the ceiling features beautiful wooden accents and stain glass windows. The floor of the wedding chapel is decorated with Spanish styled tile split by a carpeted runway. The chapel also has both a piano and organ located inside it; either of which you can have played during your wedding ceremony. I have not seen this option at any other wedding chapel in Las Vegas. As of January 2006, Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel is no longer affiliated with the adjacent hotel. The owner of Viva Las Vegas told me that the attached hotel was not up to par with Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel on which he spent 2.5 million dollars renovating. However, Viva Las Vegas still offers receptions. Unlike the other “quickie” wedding chapels in town, you can have a reception at the hotel after your wedding ceremony. Most receptions include: wedding cake, champagne, and food. This makes Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel one of the more traditional independent wedding locations in Las Vegas. If you are looking for a fun Las Vegas wedding, but don’t want to give up all of the aspects of a traditional wedding, Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel is for you! Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel provides both themed and traditional weddings without most of the trite aspects of the other wedding chapels in Las Vegas. Don’t wait to make your reservation because this place fills up fast and usually requires advance appointments. Service Rating: 4 Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel has some of the most helpful employees I have met at any Las Vegas wedding chapel. Unlike many of the wedding chapels in Las Vegas that are staffed by a single employee, Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel had several employees (I'd guess at least 5) working at the front desk. The number of employees was nice because despite being busy, I received immediate, personal attention from the employees. When I arrived at Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel, I was quickly greeted by an employee and received all of the information I requested. One thing I liked about this wedding chapel is that its brochures were readily available for the public. The employees allowed me to look around the wedding chapel at my pleasure and take all of the pictures I desired. While writing my editor’s review I called Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel to ask some additional information. My phone call was answered quickly (on the first ring) and the employee was friendly and helpful. Also, the employee did not try to pressure me into booking my wedding over the phone like many of the other wedding chapels do. Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel provides many of the usual wedding services such as flowers, photos, and wedding dresses; however, I was told that the selection of wedding dresses is very limited. A limo is provided with almost every wedding package. The chapel will broadcast your wedding over the internet live for free and will archive the wedding online for 90 days for $25. That way, friends and family who cannot make the wedding can still witness it. Viva Las Vegas is one of the most accoladed wedding chapels in Las Vegas. The wedding chapel was voted the “Best Las Vegas Wedding Chapels in Vegas” four years in a row. Viva Las Vegas has also been featured in numerous television shows including: CSI Las Vegas, the Today Show, and the Travel Channel.
