Take your own photos: No Seating: 60 guests Music Options: Piano No Organ No Custom Wedding CD No Celebrities Married Here: None Services Offered: In-house limo Internet Broadcast Outside Photo places Fresh flowers In-house photography service Reception services Seating for large wedding parties Editor's Review - MGM Grand's Forever Grand Wedding Chapel Chapel Quality Rating: 3 The MGM Grand Forever Grand wedding chapels were just what I expected: clean and dapper. The entrance into the MGM’s Forever Grand wedding chapels is beautiful and welcoming. The chapels have a very open feel as a result of the high vaulted ceilings. The floors are covered in a clean, neutral carpet. My favorite aspect of the MGM wedding chapels are its elegant walls. The walls have wooden crown molding on the top and bottom. Anyone who is a fan of crown molding will love these walls! Throughout the hallway of the MGM’s wedding chapels are iron tables with marble table tops. On each of the tables sits a huge silk flower bouquet. The MGM Grand has two identical indoor wedding chapels: the Cherish and the Legacy. The MGM’s Cherish wedding chapel seats up to 23 wedding guests. The Legacy seats up to 60 wedding guests. The guest seating in the MGM’s wedding chapels is made up of individual maple wood chairs covered in a soft silver-blue fabric. Each of the MGM’s wedding chapels has a piano. I love this! The walls of the wedding chapels are decorated with several different wall hangings. The wall hangings are very unique made of a glass like material in different abstract designs. The light from the wedding chapel reflects off of the glass which causes a sort of silver glow effect on the walls. Like the walls in the entrance of the MGM’s wedding chapels, the walls within the chapels are beautifully adorned with wooden crown molding both at the bottom and the top. Unlike most wedding chapels, the MGM’s wedding chapel does not have large curtains or columns. Instead, the MGM weddings chapels have a more streamlined look about them. I did like the bridal dressing rooms in the MGM’s wedding chapels. Both dressing rooms have floor length mirrors, large marble makeup counters, and additional seating for the wedding party. The reason I gave the MGM Grand’s wedding chapels a rating of 3 out of 5 is because there was nothing about the chapel that excited me. The decorations were nice, but not the lavish setting I desire for my fairy tale wedding. I prefer the decorations of the Wynn wedding chapels or the Mandalay Bay. However, both of these chapels are more expensive – it seems you really do get what you pay for. Service Rating: 5 The service at the MGM Grand’s wedding chapel was outstanding! Before I visit any wedding chapel, I call ahead to see if the wedding chapel is free. When I called the MGM Grand, the staff was the most professional of any wedding chapel’s staff in Las Vegas. Not only was the woman on the phone extremely friendly, she seemed delighted to do what ever was necessary to facilitate my visit to the MGM Grand’s wedding chapel. When I arrived at the MGM Grand’s wedding chapel, the only staff member present was busy helping another couple. However, unlike other Las Vegas wedding chapels where I am usually ignored until the staff is available, the woman at the MGM was very polite and quickly assured me that she would assist me as soon as possible. After I looked at the wedding chapels the woman was still busy assisting others. When she saw that I needed some assistance she quickly found me an available staff member and introduced us. The staff member was courteous and knowledgably answered all of my questions. Most importantly, the woman told me that the bride and groom as well as wedding guests receive a 15% discount on MGM Grand rooms. So far I was impressed with the service, but I wouldn’t have rated it an outstanding rating of 5. But as I was leaving, am extremely loud, argumentative man came into the wedding chapel and literally starting yelling at the wedding chapel staff. I couldn’t believe this was actually happening. Apparently the man was upset about his wedding photos not being available. One may think that this would decrease my opinion of the wedding chapel’s service, but on the contrary. It was obvious that the man was at fault, not the MGM wedding chapel staff. I was so impressed with how the staff handled the situation, treating the man with courtesy and politeness despite his lack of both that I must rate the MGM’s wedding chapel staff a 5 in service.
