Editor's Review - Caesars Palace Wedding Chapels Chapel
Quality Rating: 3
Caesars Palace has five different chapel locations to choose from. Three are indoor chapels and two are outside garden chapels. Unlike most of the hotel owned wedding chapels, none of the indoor chapels at Caesars Palace are the same. In the following review, I will describe each of the five wedding chapels in detail.
Caesars Palace’s Classico wedding chapel is its largest and best looking chapel. The Classico wedding chapel sits up to 196 guests. The Classico has a cathedral feel to it which would be a plus to anyone looking for a church wedding feeling. When you enter the Classico chapel you are immediately confronted with an enormous stain glass wall at the head of the chapel. The glass wall is a beautiful mosaic style made of yellow, blue, and teal stained glass. On each side of the glass wall sits two square marble style columns that each hold a matching vase filled with a yellow and white floral arrangement.
Another feature of this chapel was that it was well lit. Numerous large chandeliers hang from the ceiling and there are also many light fixtures along the walls. I liked the guest seating which consisted of 196 individual chairs. The chairs are covered in a pale blue fabric and were each identical.
Caesars Palace’s Tuscana wedding chapel holds up to 80 wedding guests. After seeing the large stain glass wall in the Classico wedding chapel I expected to see something similar in the Tuscana wedding chapel. However, I was surprised and disappointed to see a chapel with a completely different style and feel. Its focal point is a landscape painting that spans from the floor to the ceiling and is about three feet wide. The painting depicts a serene garden, but in my opinion the painting is boring. It just didn’t have that special something I was looking for.
Unlike the Classico wedding chapel, the Tuscana wedding chapel has only one large chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Thus, the chapel is as well lit as the Classico wedding chapel. The guest seating in the Tuscana wedding chapel consists of identical, individual chairs. The fabric of the chairs matches the color scheme of the painting which is tan, orange, green, and white. I did not care for this color scheme. It has kind of a desert feel to it.
Caesars Palace’s smallest wedding chapel is the Romano which holds up to 35 guests. The Romano’s focal point is two caramel colored marble pillars which span from the floor to the ceiling. In the middle of the pillars is a curtained covered wall. The Romano wedding chapel has two large floral arrangements consisting of yellow, red, and orange flowers that sit on matching columns. The color scheme is similar to that of the Tuscana wedding chapel; however, the Romano has a completely different feel to it. It’s not that this chapel is not nice it’s just that I expected more from a billion dollar casino. You can have your wedding in a chapel similar to the Tuscana wedding chapel at a much cheaper price at one of the independent wedding chapels such as the Little Chapel of Flowers.
Overall, my favorite aspects of Caesars Palace's three indoor wedding chapels are that each chapel has its own full size piano and bridal dressing room. I do not like the fact that Caesars Palace books more than one wedding at a time. For the price that Caesars Palace charges for its wedding packages, I feel Caesars Palace should ensure your privacy by only booking one wedding ceremony at a time.
Caesars Palace’s outside wedding chapels are identical aside from location and seating size. Both gardens are well manicured, have fake and consequently perfect grass, and are surrounded by large trees and bushes which provide shade as well as beautiful scenery. Also, both gardens have identical white concrete benches for guest seating. These benches would not be comfortable for a long period of time.
The Intimate garden wedding chapel seats up to 150 guests. While both garden chapels are located near the pool, the Intimate garden’s location lives up to its moniker providing a more intimate and secluded setting. This garden is a bit farther away from the pool than the Terrazza garden chapel so it’s less noisy than the Terrazza. If wedding music is playing I don’t think you would hear any noise from the pool area.
The Terraza garden wedding chapel seats up to 115 guests. This location is much more open and close to the public and the pool and as a result much noisier. However, to counter the pool noise there is a lovely water fountain in this garden which is home to live fish. The Terraza garden is shadier than the Intimate garden and also has purple flowers growing around the perimeter and two Greek statutes. The Intimate garden had neither of these.
While I did like the look of Caesars Palace's garden wedding chapels I am doubtful that a private and quiet wedding ceremony can occur because of the gardens' proximity to the pool.
Service Rating: 2
When I arrived at the Caesars Palace's wedding chapels I expected to be greeted by a staff member, given a tour of the chapels, and handed brochure materials on the services offered. None of my expectations were met.
I entered the small wedding chapel office and I was greeted by no one. The only woman present was trying to help another couple locate the staff member they had an appointment with who was MIA (missing in action). The woman said nothing to me and made no attempt to assist me. I found a brochure packet on the counter in the office which I took. I then decided to take a look around myself and assumed that someone would eventually help me. I was wrong.
After touring all of the chapels on my own I returned to the office for assistance. After waiting for about 10 minutes I was finally approached by a staff member. She was friendly, but kept referring me to Caesars Palaces’ website for answers to my questions. In fact, prior to visiting Caesars Palace I did visit its website. The questions I asked the woman were the questions I still had after doing so.
I did find out from the woman that wedding guests receive a 10% discount on rooms at any of Harrah’s properties (the company who owns Caesars). The woman also told me, when you book your wedding you are assigned a coordinator who is in charge of your wedding ceremony. The coordinators handle between 15-30 weddings a month. She also informed me that the brochure I had picked up was completely out of date (it named chapels that no longer existed and did not list the current indoor chapels). She then told me the brochure had not been updated because Caesars Palace did not have a color printer. I found it extremely odd reason that a billion dollar publicly traded company couldn't afford a color printer or come up with the brilliant idea of going to Kinkos.
Overall, I was not impressed by the service of the staff at Caesars Palace’s wedding chapels. My trip there gave me serious concerns about the time and quality of service I would receive by a wedding coordinator there.

New Addition- Editor's Review of Caesars Palaces Five Wedding Chapels
Date: 08/05/06
Summary:I just added my review of Caesars Palace's wedding chapels. My high expectations were not realized by the three boring indoor chapels and the two noisy outdoor garden chapels. The two best features are that each of the indoor chapels has its own full sized piano and bridal dressing room. The worst aspect of Caesars Palace’s wedding chapels is its lack of friendly, helpful staff.
